EDITOR'S LETTER | Many women have a story worth telling. Some are building businesses from the ground up. Others are leading teams, raising families, creating opportunities or quietly changing the communities around them. Many are doing remarkable work without the recognition they deserve.

That is where HER Eastern Cape begins.

As we introduce our first edition, I am reminded of how important it is for women to have spaces where their voices are heard, their work is recognized and their journeys are treated with the respect they deserve.

The Eastern Cape is home to women with incredible ideas, ambition, talent and resilience. From Gqeberha to East London, Mthatha and the towns in between, women are shaping industries, starting businesses, challenging expectations and opening doors for others.

Yet, too many of their stories remain untold.

HER Eastern Cape was created to help change that. Through these pages, we will celebrate women in business, leadership, finance, lifestyle, creativity and the many spaces where they are making their mark. We also hope to build a community where women can connect, learn from one another and find inspiration in journeys that feel familiar.

To every woman reading this, I hope you find a piece of yourself in these stories. And if you have a story of your own, there is a place for you here.

When women create spaces for one another, we do not simply find our place in the room. We make room for more women to enter.

Lastly, you're welcome to join our network HERE.
